Gothic Remake Mountain Fortress Chest Guide
The Mountain Fortress in the **Gothic 1 Remake** houses some of the most lucrative chests in the game, including one that contains valuable armors and weapons. However, picking these locks can be extremely frustrating due to the complex 6-plate interlocking mechanisms.
How to Reach the Chest
During the main quest to retrieve the Focus Stone from the Mountain Fortress with Lester the Novice, you will find a broken bridge leading to an isolated ledge.
- Fly Across: You must use a Transformation Scroll (specifically the Bloodfly scroll, which can be bought or found early in the game). Transform and fly across the gap. Tap spacebar once to maintain height.
- Get the Key: If you are looking for the Baron's locked chest in the private quarters, climb through the hole in the top tower. The key is on a skeleton at the top peak.
